I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with the fantastic team in The Beauty Boutique, Portmarnock. They offer a wide variety of treatments including Nail Enhancements, Manicures, Pedicures, Tanning, Waxing, Facial Treatments, Massage Lashes, Make up and more! I was treated to a full set of acrylic nails by owner and nail technician Lara.
We went for a long length and squoval shape to the nail, I just love that instant length you get with nail extensions, I couldn’t be without them.

I’m so indecisive, so, I looked to Lara for advice and inspiration when choosing my colour. I actually copied what she had, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, don’t cha know!

I was very excited when Lara mentioned she uses Perfect Match – only the best in Lara’s salon! Perfect Match gel polish applies like nail polish but wears like gel. Their colours are absolutely gorgeous, I’m a huge fan!
After a nice cup of tea, some french fancies (I was spoiled rotten) , a full set of acrylic nails and non stop chat with the super friendly and super talented Lara, I was then treated to a brow tint and wax.
Lara only uses Waxperts Wax in her salon and she can’t recommend the product enough. Waxperts Wax is a multi award-winning product and is the next generation of waxes. The most flexible and effective wax you will ever need. Suitable for even the most sensitive skin and a virtually pain-free waxing experience! Lara invited me back to the salon for a bikini wax to get me ready for my next holiday 🙂
I’m a fidget and really struggle to keep my eyes closed, to tell you the truth I’m not a huge fan of the eyelash extension process but Angelika was fantastic. It was the most relaxing eyelash extension process that I’ve ever endured. From the moment I lay down on the bed Angelika kept my mind at ease. We chatted about everything from blogging to marriage and travel to her Dad’s car wash company in Cork! I’ve never said this before, but, I’d get my lashes done again with Angelika in a heartbeat – I’d even go for the 3D volume lashes which take 3 hours!!

I decided to go for the 2D volume silk lashes and I was delighted with the results. That’s two silk lashes applied to each natural eyelash. The lashes are so full and feathery while remaining natural and are completely weightless. The process takes about 2.5 hours.

The Beauty Boutique has a lively welcoming vibe the girls are so friendly which makes for a great atmosphere, this is an excellent salon that offers great value for money.
