I have compiled an Irish Bucket List 2017 these are my top spots that I’d like to visit in 2017. Last year I had the opportunity to stay at a lighthouse on Clare Island, Co. Mayo, I went camping in Wicklow, I spent a few days discovering the Boyne Valley and Ireland’s Ancient East. I also made numerous trips to Northern Ireland where I explored Titanic Belfast, enjoyed a gourmet dining experience in Co. Down and a Spa retreat in Co. Fermanagh. Ireland is incredible, there’s so much to do and see and I have a list the length of my arm to get through in 2017. I hope this list inspires you to get out and discover Ireland.
Powerscourt Waterfall, Co. Wicklow
Visit the highest waterfall in Ireland. I actually ticked this off my bucket list in January – I’m on the ball!
Father Ted’s House, Co. Clare
Enjoy tea and cakes at the Father Ted house. As Mrs Doyle would say, Ah go on, go on, go on, go on, go on!
Greenan Maze, Co. Wicklow
Greenan Maze is situated in the midst of the Wicklow Mountains at the foot of the beautiful Glenmalure Valley, only 6 km from Rathdrum. You can spend the whole day wandering around the farm in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere.
The Hook Lighthouse, Co. Wexford
Enjoy a visit to Hook Lighthouse in Wexford, its one of the most popular things to do Wexford and Waterford, great family day out, group day out or couples.

The Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk, Co. Wicklow
The coastal walk winds along the side of Bray Head and has some of the most stunning views of the East Coast. The Cliff Walk is about 7 kilometres, starting from the bandstand on the Promenade and ending at Greystones harbour. When you arrive in Greystones, go for breakfast, brunch or lunch in The Happy Pear!
Hybrid Bicycles or Electric Bicycles for Hire, Co. Leitrim
Leave the petrol fumes behind and take a closer look at Ireland’s North West the eco-friendly way on electric or hybrid bikes. These bikes help you pedal over the hills without any effort and you can enjoy the wind in your hair as you glide along.
