Gluten Free Options in Bread & Bones Dublin
You’re in the Jervis Shopping Centre and you want to grab a bite to eat but you’re a coeliac. Your options are limited. Sbarro Pizza Bar is a definite no, in Eddie Rockets you could get the chicken burger without the bun and O’Briens offer gluten-free options but they’re not very filling. Only moments away from the back entrance to the Jervis is the Millennium Walkway on Middle Abbey Street. Here you will find Bread & Bones serving up hot Asian junk food. If you want a good gluten-free munch, it’s the place to be!
Starters
Choose three dishes from the starter menu for only €10 or €4 each. I opted for three GF dishes, the Kimchi fries, salt and pepper squid and a portion of crispy chicken wings. Both the squid and chicken wings are coated with gluten-free flour and asian spices. The coated squid rings were most definitely my favourite.
I love that you immediately know what’s gluten-free and what’s not in Bread & Bones. Each gluten free dish has a GF icon clearly positioned next to it on the menu. I was very impressed with the value of the meal deal and the fact that the three dishes I picked were suitable for coeliacs. The portions were good and I was satisfied afterwards.
Customers can enjoy beers, wines and Bulmers. For those of you who didn’t know, Bulmers Apple Cider is gluten-free. Yes, it’s 100% safe to drink for anyone on a gluten-free diet.

Warm Chocolate Brownie GF €5.95
You won’t believe this brownie cake is gluten-free with its crisp sugary crunch to the edges. A simply and tasty dessert served with vanilla ice cream, fresh fruit and a sprig of mint. Yum!
I’m always excited when I find tasty gluten-free food and great value meal deals and specials in Dublin. Bread & Bones is all about good fast food. If you’re a coeliac shopping in the city and you’re looking to grab a bite to eat, give Bread & Bones a go. You won’t be disappointed.
Don’t forget to always inform the waiter of your dietary requirements before you eat, even if you’ve eaten there before. Restaurants tend to change their menus on a regular basis. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
